Drawing inspiration from my everyday surroundings, I paint mostly from my own photographs. There’s beauty to be found in imperfect and overlooked moments. My signature expressive style explores the emotional space of these ordinary subjects.
My smaller oil on panel collections are like miniature life studies. The life studies then evolve into ideas and inspiration for my larger scale cardboard pieces. Art is a physical passion for me. Painting is fun and I like to work loose; dig in and get messy with it. Always leaving space for the final piece to evolve organically.
I acknowledge my privilege of growing up with access to art programs in and out of school. I support organizations that are working to expand art programs in the US and fight inequity in art funding. Each Collection Release I will donate a portion of the proceeds from one piece to a nonprofit art organization.
